Direct to garment printing (DTG) is just a relatively new clothing printing process which allows full colour printing direct onto the garment without the necessity for screens, transfer or sublimation techniques.

DTG printers, are garment printers which, are in the basic level, an ink jet printer usually based on an Epson printer principle and they work in exactly the same way as one that sits on the desk printing invoices. A tray holds a platen onto that your t-shirt is positioned and which then moves underneath the print-head similar to the way paper moves through a printer.

This has some small limitations in the speed department but, however, still produces full colour prints in a relatively short time

Why utilize it?

It is a superb option to standard screen printing whereby screens have to be made before the work can be started. It's an excellent option to transfer printing whereby initial quantities often must be larger in order to make sure they are more cost effective. Women's Wear Manufacturer in Bangladesh

What garments are most suitable?

The very first major breakthrough was that of printing onto 100% cotton

The second major breakthrough was the development of white ink, rendering it possible to print onto any colour of Shirt.

We'd recommend White 100% Cotton T-Shirts as the best medium. Especially good finishes have been available on Blue max and Gildan brands. But Sweatshirts and Polo shirt can be successful. The main element is to check each garment until you are pleased with the print finish.
