Runescape developer Jagex's publishing wing has picked up RS Gold a promising Indie release under their Jagex Partners label, which makes Melvor Idle an independent no longer. It's an idler game that's similar to games such as Clicker Heroes or Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, was launched on Steam this year, and wears its influences from Jagex's most popular game Runescape extremely proudly.

Melvor Idle is a detailed multi-track idle video game that will attempt to recreate "the most fundamental components in the RuneScape franchise in a manner that can be played in a casual manner," says the publisher. It's a very rich in features, an idle game that offers a wide range of items to develop and advance, aswell in a focus on zero games that have prestige mechanics that need a restart.

Jagex apparently became aware of the game in the early part of 2020. A large percentage of the company's employees liked it before its official Steam launch in October of the same year. As you can imagine, the developer is pretty thrilled to be collaborating with the makers of one of their top games.
