Monaco - the very name of the state is associated with the concepts of "luxury", "affluence", "stability", these epithets can also be described as prosperous real estate market of the Principality, which has, in comparison with other European countries, a number of features. What opportunities opens Monaco for foreign buyers, what kind of objects are presented on the market ... and where best to invest ...

Geography and not only

Monaco - a dwarf independent state, one of the smallest in the world. Lies on the coast of the Ligurian Sea and the land borders with France, located about 20 km from Nice. The total area of the state can be compared to a relatively small Moscow park and is only about 2 sq. km. The population density of Monaco, also due to the tiny size of the country, is very high and amounts to about 18,000 inhabitants per square kilometer. As is easy to calculate, the total population of the Principality is around 36,000. Of these, 47% are French, 21% Monegasques (the natives of Monaco), 16% Italians and 16% from the other 125 nationalities. Politically, Monaco is closely tied to France by a treaty of 1918.

The highest legislative authority of the country is in the hands of His Serene Highness the Sovereign Prince Albert II of Monaco, as well as the National Council, or parliament. Some other members of the family are also granted the title Prince of Monaco, but this should not be confused with the title of the Reigning Prince Albert II.

How to get there

The tiny territory of the Principality has a well-developed transport infrastructure. Monaco has rail, road, sea and air links. There is a railway station in the center of Monte Carlo, as well as seaports in the Fontvieille and La Condamine areas. Helicopter service is well developed.

A convenient system of elevators and escalators connects the upper and lower parts of the Principality, which makes it possible not to use a car and move around its territory on foot or by bus. For motorists, there are plenty of parking spaces, both underground and above ground.

This also applies to the real estate market, which is currently in its heyday and is represented by very interesting objects, the cost per square meter of which may be as little as €100,000.

The picturesque coast of the Ligurian Sea, the proximity of the French Riviera and the mild Mediterranean climate create the most favorable atmosphere for life and recreation of the power players. And the status of the "world financial center", guaranteed banking secrecy, low taxes for foreigners and absence of income tax for residents attracts billions of fortunes to Monaco every year. The economic legislation of the Principality is aimed at attracting foreign capital to the country by providing an extra preferential tax regime.

Today, there are five casinos in total in the Principality.

Monaco is also home to prestigious educational institutions, both public and private.

These include kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, a lycée (specializing in tourism) and one institution of higher learning - the International University of Monaco. It is the variety of choices and the high level of education that attracts wealthy families with children from all over the world to Monaco.
